Implications of Going Out of Stock

product is out of stock for 2 or more days.

The analysis also showed that brands lose, on average, 62% of their sales when stock rates drop
below 30%, versus sales at a 90% in-stock rate.

It is a balancing act for any business with how much storage space they have for their chilled/frozen
products. You have to consider many factors; having too much space can be a waste, not having enough
space you will struggle and possibly have to right stock off.
