We now know what the roadmap looks like for the UK to come out of the pandemic
and we can look towards a brighter future.
The future holds many possibilities, some of which haven’t even been
thought of yet because technology will continue to evolve at a fast pace, but
our environment and sustainability is important for us all.
Seven Refrigeration are committed more than ever to help all of its current and
future customers to improve how they refrigerate their Chilled or Frozen products.
We are investing in newer temporary refrigerated containers which have intelligent
controller software and can help provide less maintenance, better operational efficiency
and saving energy consumption for our customers.
By using Natural Refrigerant such as CO2, in our machines, is another way Seven Refrigeration
is supporting sustainability and the environment.
Technology and natural refrigerants are not the only things that can be done to help the
environment and sustainability. How Refrigerated Containers are used can also have a knock-on
effect, for example;
• Leaving the door open when the refrigeration machine is running will affect the
internal temperature, which can cause ice to build up inside. In turn, this will affect the
temperature of the stock inside, but also mean the machine will continue running, using
more electricity than needed.
• Loading a warm product inside the cold storage will cause condensation. In turn, this can lead to
ice build up inside and cause the refrigeration machine to work harder as it tries to bring the temperature
of the product inside down to the required temperature. This results in more electricity being used.
• Even how a product is packaged and stored inside the Refrigerated Container can affect how
hard the machine works. Not loading the product correctly means the machine will need to work harder,
causing excessive electricity usage.
Machines fitted to our temporary refrigerated containers will only work when they sense the
temperature has risen inside. Keeping the door closed as much as possible, correctly packaging
product, and ensuring the product is at the correct temperature when loading will all help to
reduce the need for the machine to use excessive electricity, which ultimately helps
