Food Inflation Continues to Drop
Food Inflation continues to fall for the Seventh consecutive Month to its lowest level since June 2022 with dairy products and vegetables being the largest contributors in recent months.
With food inflation dropping this allowed domestic producers and subsequently supermarkets to lower prices.
Sales are now up in recent Months compared to last year and many of us remain vigilant for promotions and deals after a cost-of-living crisis earlier this year with food inflation and grocery costs very high.
As such with lower food prices and high competition between supermarkets, growth and production are increasing once again with increased product variety and quantities.
Therefore, temporary cold storage requirements remain fundamental to keep up with product availability and variety to maintain sales targets and keep up with competition. In addition, cold storage remains essential to maintain operational efficiency.
