Many restaurants during the restrictions had to provide food for either takeaway
or delivery, just to remain afloat, so the likes of Deliveroo and Just-Eat saw their
demand rocket, even double.
But with most Covid Restrictions now lifted there were fears for food delivery firms
that the demand for services would fall, but so far this year demand has increased!
It seems consumers who changed their habits during the restrictions have carried on
with ordering their takeaway online. Is it because they have simply just got used to
doing it and will carry on doing so. Time will tell.
With demand for online takeaway food, the industry adapted with small industrial units
previously used for pallet storage were converted into a full spec restaurant kitchen.
Of course, to do this temperature-controlled storage is required to support the business.
Having to have a new built cold store internally can be an expensive outlay before any
food is cooked.
One solution is to have temporary cold storage delivered and placed either outside the
industrial unit or skated inside to make the process easier for chefs when they require food.

Storage solutions. Whether outside or by skating them inside premises. Space permitting of
