All About Grapes
Did you know grape farming is the UK’s fastest growing agricultural sector. The warming of the UK climate in recent years has allowed the production of many varieties of grapes to increase and expand.
As such in the town of Wisbech, locals are growing bunches of grapes outside next to the river Nene instead of using conservatories.
Did you also know that grapes have been harvested worldwide for 8000 years to make wines. A staple of many European countries where wine is classified as a food to keep prices reasonable.
Due to the UK grape production increase, we are projected to produce 29 million wine bottles by 2032.
Another fine beverage made from grapes is champagne. I mention this because its World Champagne Day this Friday coming.
Considering this day of recognition, why not treat yourself to a glass after a productive week of work to unwind.
